SEMINAR ON SUSTAINABLE URBAN METABOLISMS (SUM-UPV)
Exploring principles, methodologies, engagement and sinergies.
The Seminar on SUSTAINABLE URBAN METABOLISMS SUM-UPV is a preparatory action planned in the project on Sustainable Urban Metabolism for the Erasmus+ Programme 2017 (KA2 Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices, KA203 Strategic Partnerships for higher education) submitted (29.3.2017) by Aalto University as leading partner, UPV and Reading University. This seminar complements the previous one celebrated in Turku on the 12th and 13th of June 2017.
The seminar SUSTAINABLE URBAN METABOLISMS SUM-UPV has been scheduled on the 27th and 28th of June 2017, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). The goals of the seminar are:
- Activate the multidisciplinary team created in the UPV for the preparation of the Erasmus+ project.
- Start preliminary methodological and pedagogic discussions on the SUMs_Project based on our pre-developed framework.
- Engage the cities and the region into the methodological discussion and clarify their contributions for the SUMs project.
The format intended for the seminar is quite similar to the previous SUMs seminar celebrated in Turku. All the participants are expected to present a short communication connecting the Sustainable Urban Metabolism concept with her/his own field of expertise or interest (water, transport, energy, green areas, lifestyles, urban morphologies, etc.). By so doing, we will start constructing a common and aggregative knowledge and we will also take advantage of our internal diversity.
